    The Thayer basketball teams have been dominating the area's basketball, with the girls' record at 12-0 and the boys' record at 13-2. The teams are carrying the success they experienced last season into this season, as they have the same record as last season at this point.     The Thayer Basketball teams are back in action now, as the boys and girls both won their first games of the year. The Lady Cats beat Izard County Consolidated 75-34 at Viola High School, and the boys defeated Class 3 Doniphan by a score of 49-35 at Van Buren High School.     Elementary Gets New Playground Equipment

    The Thayer Elementary School recently received new playground equipment. It was opened on the 16th of November. Jason Andrews, Thayer's elementary principal said the school board and superintendent decided that the elementary finally needed some advancements on the playground. "Most of the playground equipment that we were using was actually transported from the old elementary school on 6th Street, so we obviously needed to make some updates," said...
